Check out by 9:00 AM, check in not before 3:00 PM and
preferably before 7:00 PM, or make special arrangements. Peak Season is rented Saturday to Saturday, Off
Season rentals can start on any day of the week and check in and out
times are more flexible.
Pets:
Please ask. Eagle View was designed without carpets to be pet
friendly and easier to clean up after them. White Pine Vista is
currently 80% carpeted but for summer 2006 we are ripping out carpets
and putting in laminate flooring in some of the rooms to allow our
pet friends to stay.
The change in making White Pine Vista more pet friendly will happen
over the winter of 2005. Once the 2006 change is completed at
White Pine Vista pets would be allowed in the main family room area,
kitchen, hallway, laundry area and possibly the master bedroom.
We would ask that pets still not be in the 2nd and 3rd bedroom as
they are scheduled to have the carpeting removed after November
2006. In the mean time if you have a pet that you want to bring the best cottage for you is
likely Eagle View. If you are allergic to certain animals and
are concerned about allergies starting in January of 2006 we may no
longer have a cottage for you. We will continue to buy
non-allergenic materials for bedding, and building materials when we
can. However, occasionally there
are problems and for this reason there
is a $50.00 extra charge/pet/week. This is due to the fact
that there is more likely to be scratches, wear and tear and higher
cleaning fees with pets. We also
ask that the pets stay off of the furniture/beds. We also
reserve the right to charge for any major damage done by a pet.
Payments should be made by cheque (or cash in last
minute rentals)
Typically a
deposit of $200.00/week of rental is required to hold the cottage, if booking more
than one month in advance of your stay. The remainder of the money
is normally due one month prior to arrival. I will e-mail out receipts, or
the neighbour Bob can give receipts for last minute rentals. If
you are booking within a month of your stay than the full amount is
due up front.
Prior to receiving a deposit we reserve
the following rights: to charge more than the typical deposit
amount, to ask for the balance due sooner than one month prior to
arrival. This would normally be done for key rental periods
such as long weekends, December holiday period, hunting periods, as
some examples.
Waiting for Deposit - Once an agreement is made over e-mail or by
phone 2 weeks time is allowed to receive a deposit cheque, provided
the rental is more than 6 weeks in the future. If
you are not the person who has reserved the cottage you can add your
name to a waiting list during this time and you will be contacted if
the cottage becomes available.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Funds paid may be refundable depending on whether the cottage
manages to rent out to someone else during the same period.
Cancellations with
more than 30 days notice before arrival. If the cottage manages to
rent out to someone else for the same period the person cancelling
will receive back all of deposit less $50.00.
If the cottage does not manage to rent out to someone else
then any funds received are not refunded.
For cancellations with

entire amount agreed to is owed. If we are able to find other
renters for the cottage then we will refund money back equivalent to
what the new renter pays, less $50.00, up to the amount you paid for
the rental.
