Side Front View of Cottage |
|
A fair size cottage (1,200+ sq ft), with a large wrap around deck. The deck goes from the kitchen door (on the centre right of picture), to the patio doors off the family room. |

Large Deck Overlooks Lake |
|
The deck easily sits over 8 people. From the deck you have about a 50 percent view of the lake (which is about 70 feet away) through the trees. From the lake you have trouble getting a good view of the cottage (for better privacy). |

Deck Chairs |
|
The deck has a patio set with 6 chairs, we've since also added a number of wood deck chairs. The deck is about 30 feet x 8 feet not counting the side that wraps around toward the kitchen. The chairs normally aren't lined up like this, we just wanted to show how long the deck was. |

Cottage in Winter |
|
The cottage was built in the fall/winter of 2004. This was the first completed photo we could get, and it was in January 2005. Thus the snow. The cottage is fully winterized and the area is gorgeous in the winter. Check our calendar to see if we are booked yet for Christmas or New Year's |

Living Room with a Gas Fireplace |
|
The living/dining rooms form a fairly large area that looks out towards the lake. The patio doors go to a large deck that over looks the lake. There are a number of board games left at the cottage and a few books (mostly mysteries, and sci-fi) and magazines. Lots to do if the weather isn't nice outside. |

Living Room (different Angle) |

The living room has pine stairs going to the second level, along with a 27" TV, XBox (video games and DVDs), and a small portable stereo. |

Dining Room |
|
Large Windows let you enjoy nature while you eat. There are 8 dining room chairs. The place comfortably sleeps 3 couples and two singles (8 people would have a beds). The dining room and living room combined seat well over 8 people in one large area. |

Kitchen |
|
All the comforts of a well stocked home. Dishwasher, microwave, purified water (the water is from a well - not the lake and safe to drink, to be even safer we run it through a RO/UV purification system similar to the best bottled water), the fridge even has an ice dispenser (the ice is purified too). The kitchen is stocked better than most cottages but if you plan on boiling a dozen lobsters, and finishing off with creme brule you'll need to bring some of your own supplies. |

Master Bedroom |
|
On the main level, at the back, is the master bedroom. It has a comfortable queen size bed and is fairly spacious. |

Bunk Beds (kids room) |
|
This is the smallest bedroom. It will comfortable sleep two children. Smaller adults could use the beds but a single larger adult would probably be more comfortable on the couch in the living room. The room has two nice size windows. |

Downstairs Bathroom |

I've seen some scary cottage bathrooms. The bathroom photos are included just to let you know that they are in great shape and very clean. |

Downstairs Bathroom 2 |

To keep with the natural theme of the property even the toilets are eco friendly (water conserving). This bathroom would be used by anyone on the main level of the cottage. |

Large Lakeside Bedroom |

This may truely be the master bedroom. It is approximately the same size as the master bedroom but has a large lakeside window. |

Another Large Bedroom |

This bedroom is very similar to the other upstairs bedroom; however, its window faces out in to the forest instead of overlooking the lake. |

Upstairs Bathroom |

Their is a large shower stall but no bath tub on the upper level. This bathroom is shared by the two upstairs bedrooms. |

Upstairs Bathroom 2 |

The cottage has 1 bathroom for every two bedrooms (so 2 bathrooms in total). |

View Between Cottages |
|
There are two cottages on the
over 55 acres of property. This shot shows that the two cottages are private from each other by a section of forest. In fact, it takes well over a minute to walk between cottages. |

Bird Feeder |
|
We've set up a bird feeder for you to enjoy some of the wildlife. Shown here is a Dark-Eyed Junco and I think a Purple Finch. Send me an e-mail to let me know if I misidentified the Purple Finch (picture was taken in mid April) |

Lake Bottom |
|
The lake bottom is rock (not sand), it is not weedy. Near shore in many areas it is made up of large (2'x2' to 3'x4') flat slabs of limestone. Further from shore (10 to 15 feet out) the slabs break in to smaller pieces. The shadow on the water in the centre of the picture is the raised cantilever dock frame. |

Shoreline |
|
Close to the dock the shoreline is limestone. This picture (image in picture is about 8 ft x 6 ft - all I could fit in to the picture) shows a section of rock that is nice to walk on because it is so flat. The water is usually quite clear. |
